Sony ZV-1 Digital Camera Designed For Content Creators

On May 26, 2020, Sony Electronics Inc., announced their newest vlog-styled digital point-and-shoot camera, the ZV-1.

The ZV-1 is a great choice for content-creators since it has a vari-angle LCD screen, image stabilization, 4K movie recording, 'Super Slow Mo' (960fps), 3.5mm mic input, future live-streaming capabilities, and real-time eye auto focus.

Sony's Deputy President, Neal Manowitz, claims the pocket-sized ZV-1 was made for content creators and vloggers, "Sony's new ZV-1 was purpose-built to meet the needs and demands of today's video creators"(1).

With a MSRP of $799, and special introductory price of $749 through June 28, the ZV-1 is affordable enough for entry-level video enthusiasts.

For a limited time, the ZV-1 is $50 off, get it now for $749.99!

The ZV-1 features a one-inch stacked Exmor RS CMOS sensor with DRAM chip, the latest-generation BIONZ X image processor, and a 35mm equivalent 24-70mm f/1.8-2.8 ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* zoom lens - ideal for low-light environments and blurred backgrounds,

"The ZV-1 offers a simple solution to easily switch between two levels of background bokeh while recording. Using the new Background Defocus function, users can rapidly adjust the optical aperture between more and less background defocusing blur without losing focus on the subject"(1).

The ZV-1 implements a feature not seen since the Sony DSC-RX100 V, a neutral-density (ND) filter, which according to Sony, 'Opens creative possibilities via video exposure control, enhancing depth-of-field and enabling magical slow-shutter portrayal of water, light, and motion'(2).

Live-streaming capabilities are coming to the ZV-1 in July with a software development, allowing the camera to function as a webcam over a USB cable.

Product reviews are now easier with the new, ‘Product Showcase Setting,’ which widens the field-of-view and switches focus to the object instantly without needing to place your hand behind the product (2).
