Skydio 2 Drone Production Resumes After COVID-19 Delays

Pre-Orders Backlog for Skydio 2 to be filled by September, Skydio says

Autonomous drone manufacturer, Skydio Inc., has re-opened shop and resumed production for their in-demand drone, Skydio 2, as of June 25, 2020.

The Skydio 2 was announced in October of 2019, and saw a huge demand from consumers and drone pilots alike, but restrictions from COVID-19 delayed drone manufacturing and shipments, extending initial production delays.

“We have started to ramp up manufacturing again. If you haven’t ordered your Skydio 2 already, you can now do so from our online store!”

According to Skydio’s website, pre-order batches 1-4 are sold out, and orders are now being taken for production batch 5, expected to ship beginning October 2020.
